"Școala te face mare" results after 3 weeks of campaign

169 people called 116 111 in June to report problems related to education, following the “Scoala te face mare” campaign, according to Asociatia Telefonul Copilului report.

86 calls inquired about children reintegration in school through the Second Chance program for children who have abandoned school and are now over the appropriate age for their grade. 42 calls were about children's registration to school, and 41 about children's registration to kindergarten.

The calls revealed already 39 children aged 9-12 who have never been registered to school. The children who are at the highest risk of not going to school are those from impoverished families and those whose parents are working abroad.

The campaign has so far been supported by many people who wrote to us on info@fiecarecopilinscoala.ro to join as volunteers - especially student, teachers and social workers who offered to promote the campaign in their communities. We have over 800 fans on Facebook, and the materials posted on the internet have generated over 150 comments about problems in education, and possible solutions.
